The Old City is the square of streets inside the moat and the remains of the city wall, about one and a half kilometres on each side, with Wat Phra Singh and Wat Chedi Luang inside it. It is compact enough to walk, which makes it the easiest part of town to eat your way through. Tha Phae Gate on the east side is the busiest corner and the start of the Sunday Walking Street along Ratchadamnoen Road.
